But for those new to the sport or visiting from out of town and looking for gear rental options, look no further. From the base of the mountain to right outside of town, we have five vendors offering Skis, Snowboards, Cross Country Skis, and other types of gear rentals. For a quick comparison take a look at the chart below, and keep scrolling for more details on the different options.

Ski & Board Rental Options in Whitefish

  1. Whitefish Mountain Resort

Renting directly from the Resort is always a great option, and they offer great deals during the season for packages, big groups, and extra discounts if you book your housing through the resort. WMR has two rental locations, one at the base of the mountain and a second in the Village at the bottom of Chairs 2 & 3. Beyond the reasonable prices and great location, the resort allows you to come the afternoon before your first ski day to get fitted and pick up your gear without paying for an extra day. They also offer dynamic rental dates, allowing you to ski 4 out of 5 days without committing to your dates ahead of time.

If you have any of your own gear, you can complete your setup with discounted prices for just a pair of boots, poles, helmets, or skis. Take a look at their website and make your reservations in advance for guaranteed gear!
